the more things change... in CAD

I was just doing an early spring clean this morning and found an old copy of CADD magazine (that esteemed CAD publication from EDA Ltd in London, that gave way to MCAD and MCADonline) where I spent some years as editor, chief cook and general bottlewasher.

The issue I found was one I produced from 1993, and I read through some of the articles. It was fascinating! The advertisements have, since this 1993 issue, become more sophisticated - that's something of a relief - although the message has barely changed. The editorial has beome more informed since then. But again the subject matter has not changed:

Articles ranged from - the growth in 3D (actually with an investigation into parametric technologies by Neil Mcleod), the use of FEA as a design validation tool, a look at AutoCAD R 12, and also a look at CADkey.

hmmm. seems familiar!
