COFES 2006 - a gathering

I have been a little quiet over the last few weeks with the big push and preparation for COFES, of which we are part of the management team.

Now we are in the lull before the storm - about 260 people fly in to Scottsdale this afternoon and register. It makes for an interesting time as a bunch of engineers, developers and yes, even software users, start to orient themselves into the weird and wonderful world of COFES.

And it makes me ponder why COFES is so special. It is a unique event that has grown steadily over the last 6 years. It is filled with techie geeks, industry experts, pundits and advocates that are given a place to discuss - and even argue - about the industry. And everyone loves it! Throughout the event you'll see people from competing companies talking, simply taking time to work out why they are competitive and where their differences - both personal and corporate - lie.

During this event, we will continue to blog on interesting issues that come up. We anticipate a flurry of activity on partner blogs which we will bring to your attention when needed. So stay tuned!

from sunny Arizona, rachael
