the Prairie Dog effect: Tim Webb pops up at Abaqus

Tim Webb, previously in Marketing at MSC, has recently popped back up at Abaqus. We wish him well and all good luck at his new company.

Understanding the Prairie Dog effect game...for the uninitiated, the CAD community is fairly small within the big picture of things IT and computing. If you have ever watched a community of prarie dogs, you will see them stood outside a burrow, only to disappear and possibly pop up at the mouth of another. (although who really knows cos they all look the same.) In the CAD industry we will often wait with bated breath when a round of layoffs or a general exodus from a company results in a number of people disappearing from the scene..down the prairie dog burrow. The game starts in how long it takes them to appear at the mouth of another burrow (err...CAD company). But different from prairie dogs, at least CAD people seem to be mostly accoutered with individual, and recognizable, features. Sometimes we place the odd innocent bet on where someone will reappear, and we let the game begin.

Which exec has been at the most CAD companies? I propose Malcolm Davies, perhaps. [Hi, Malcolm, if you're reading this!] Carl Bass might be in the running, too.
