It seems there is a "game" weaving its way through the blogosphere called "Tag--Five Things You Don't Know About Me." Randall Newton of AECnews called me out and apparently I have to respond or be doomed for life.
1) I started my CAD working-life as a CAD Manager at an architectural firm in the UK, at the ripe old age of 22. The company had just installed 3 x 268 Mhz systems with 5 MBytes of RAM, and AutoCAD 2.8. (These were screamin' machines at the time.) You can imagine the angst experienced by the grizzled, greying architectural technicians who were supposed to take orders from this floozie!!
2) I found during my MBA studies that I adored Finance and hated learning about Marketing, ironic really!
3) I spent 5 years as a member of the British Ski Team for Freestyle. Amazingly, I managed to get as far as several World Cup events without maiming or killing myself. After 5 years, however, I think I suddenly grew up.
4) The only injuries I have ever had are 5 broken fingers, 1 broken thumb and an ankle sprain that lasted 6 months. The fingers were a result of aerials ski jumping. However, the ankle sprain was not from skiing, but playing pick-up soccer in an old aircraft hangar, and that one disabled me the most!
5) My real loves are horses, dogs, and 'Prime Minister's Question Time' in the (UK) House of Commons. I hope that if I live beyond 40, you'll be able to find me on a farm, shoveling horse pooh, while listening to the BBC World Service.
I am now supposed to 'tag' two more bloggers to do this. I tag Roopinder Tara at CADinsider and Evan Yares at his Evan Yares Blog.
